Keeping software up-to-date:
Drivers (the little piece of software that makes everything work): Every once and a while, check to see if you are current at this link: ActivDrivers Windows users: if you have a new computer (2012 purchase), use the 64bit download. Older Windows computers should use the 32bit download. Macs: use the driver for OS 10.6 or later)

I just found out that the ReadWriteThink website has been completely reworked- and it looks fabulous. This website was created by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) and the International Reading Association- but has resources that any teacher can use. Some of the most interesting things I noticed in just a brief surf through the site include:
There are also some good "how to" guides, such as how to record podcasts. Check it out here . Explore the site- it seems to be well designed and easy to navigate. If you find any useful ideas, lessons, or activities, leave a note for your colleagues in the discussion tab to this page!

I just found out that the ReadWriteThink website has been completely reworked- and it looks fabulous. This website was created by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) and the International Reading Association- but has resources that any teacher can use. Some of the most interesting things I noticed in just a brief surf through the site include:
Graphic Organizers
Student Interactives (Online Flash activities, such as Hints about Print (evaluate the quality of online or printed information) and the really cool Timeline Generator )
